本展览为文物馆四十周年馆庆之重≥展览。展品精选自沐文堂藏品，展出近百件中国历代雕塑。展品内容丰富，涵盖新石器时代以至元明清的玉、石、陶、木雕塑，以汉唐盛世陶俑、北朝至辽宋的佛教造像为重点。不同时代的雕塑作品，反映该时代的社会文化和价值观念，蕴涵传统的接续承传及外来文化的冲击融合，汇成中国雕塑的历史长河。

This exhibition of around 100 items of Chinese sculptures selected from the Muwen Tang Collection is one of the celebratory events of the 40th anniversary of the Art Museum. The sculptures are of jade, stone, pottery and wood and span from the Neolithic period through the Qing dynasty. Funerary pottery figurines of the Han and Tang dynasties, and Buddhist statues from the Northern Dynasties till the Liao and the Song, form the two substantial categories on display. All these sculptures are reflections of the society, culture and ideology of their time. They exemplify the Chinese traditional heritage on one hand, and embody the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries on the other hand. Together they illustrate the epitomes of three-dimensional rendering by Chinese sculptors through the centuries. 内容来自A r t w o r l d . c n
